The sunset of Friday evening marks the end of Great Lent and the beginning of The Saturday of St. Lazarus.
However, with the exception of the Saturday of St. Lazurus and Palm Sunday
when the fast is eased due to the feasts, the strict fast of Great Lent continues until Pascha.
