His Eminence Metropolitan Iakovos of Chicago has presided over the Metropolis of Chicago since 1979. He has also served as Bishop of the Detroit and New England dicoeses and as president of Hellenic College and Holy Cross School of Theology. Under Metropolitan Iakovos' leadership, the Diocese has aided the homeless and those with AIDS and worked with other faith communities to promote justice and truth in our society.
